Experience
I want to be fair in this review because the sale did eventually happen. But I also want to be honest: ten months is a long time to wait, and for most of that period I had very little idea what was actually happening with my listing.
I own — owned — a two-bedroom annual unit at a Marriott property in Orlando. The maintenance fees had climbed to $3,200 per year and my family simply stopped using the property after my kids graduated college. I contacted Resort Resale Network after reading a few online articles about the resale market. Their sales rep was confident and gave me a timeline of four to six months.
The first three months were uneventful. I received a listing confirmation and a few form emails about market conditions. Around month four I started following up more aggressively because I had heard nothing substantive. The responses I got were vague — "we are actively marketing your property" and "buyer interest in this market has been slower than usual."
Months five through eight were genuinely frustrating. I asked twice to speak with a supervisor and was told someone would call me. No one did. I started keeping a written log of every contact attempt. At one point I went six weeks without any response to two separate emails.
In month nine, I was informed there was a buyer. The negotiation phase took another five weeks. The final sale price was $18,900. It was within the range they had originally quoted but on the lower end.
Would I use them again? No. Did they deliver? Technically yes. That is the most honest assessment I can offer.
What Went Well
They did find a buyer and the legal transfer was handled without issues.
What Went Wrong
Nearly zero communication for long stretches. Multiple unreturned calls. The four to six month estimate became ten months with no explanation.
Advice for Others
Get the timeline commitment in writing and ask what happens if they miss it. Without that in your agreement, you have very little leverage.
