Week 1: They provided three options: (1) Transfer to my name, (2) Donate to their charity partner program, (3) Attempt resale. I chose option 2 since I had no interest in keeping the timeshare. Weeks 2-3: They prepared all transfer documents and coordinated with the charity that would receive the ownership. Week 4: I signed documents at a local notary (they paid for the notary service). Documents were submitted to the resort. Weeks 5-8: Waiting period for resort approval of the transfer. Week 9: Received confirmation that the transfer was complete and I was released from all future obligations. Total process: 9 weeks. Total cost: $1,200 flat fee (no hidden charges).
